Dying Matters Awareness Week

I met Tony Brookes, Lead Chaplain at Ipswich Hospital today, who is organising a programme of events at the hospital during Dying Matters Awareness Week, which is 8th to 14th May 2017. There are events to raise awareness for staff and visitors to the hospital. These aim to increase our understanding of what we can do to help and encourage all of us to be more active in planning for dying and death and helping support those who may need it in times of grief and bereavement, be they friends, family or in your wider community.

Dying Matters is a coalition of 32,000 members across England and Wales which aims to help people talk more openly about dying, death and bereavement, and to make plans for the end of life. http://www.dyingmatters.org/
